About Jim
Jim Fernberger, managing director, is a wealth advisor with William Blair Private Wealth Management. Throughout his more than 40 years in the financial services industry, Jim’s singular goal is to make a positive impact on his clients’ lives. He has deep experience managing the financial concerns of families, individuals, and organizations of significant wealth, and a full and complete understanding of resources, strategies, and vehicles to facilitate and support their many financial interests.
Before joining William Blair, Jim was a managing director and senior vice president of investments at Raymond James for 9 years, and previously was with Advest, Inc. and its successor firm Merrill Lynch for more than 30 years. Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington & Jefferson College and graduated from Germantown Friends School.
An avid tennis fan, Jim is a member of the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Advisory board, the Barnes Foundation Ambassador Committee, and the Philadelphia PHL Sports Congress board. He lives in Rydal with his wife. Together they have two children, Alex and Zach, both of whom are managing directors and wealth advisors with Fernberger Wealth Management.
