About Shantha

Shantha Ozgen is a partner and healthcare sector specialist in our Institutional Sales team. In this role she interacts with the research, banking, and trading teams covering healthcare at William Blair and delivers the firm’s product to the broad investment community, including pension funds, mutual funds, hedge funds, and sector dedicated cross-over funds.

Shantha is a trusted partner to the research team and helps to strategically market the product for maximum client impact. She routinely organizes content focused conference calls and marketing events to drive mind share for our research product. Her constant dialog with market participants makes her an invaluable partner to the banking and ECM teams as she is able to deliver current investor sentiment across the sector and on individual names. She works closely with the sector trading team to keep them apprised of current events, investor feedback, and stock impact. Shantha is an integral part of the coverage team for the firm’s institutional client base. Shantha joined William Blair in 2021, and her main focus has been to raise market and mind share for William Blair’s healthcare franchise.

Prior to joining William Blair, Shantha held a similar role for 14 years at Credit Suisse, where she was a managing director in the sales team. She worked in research and sales at UBS before that. Shantha is actively engaged in promoting a network of women finance professionals in the healthcare industry. She has an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from the University of Rochester, Simon School of Business.
