William Blair was named "Employer of the Year," the City of London Business Traineeship Programme's top award, for its comprehensive summer internship program.
The London traineeship programme, which just celebrated its 16th year, is a paid internship for students living in London interested in pursuing a career in financial services. In partnership with 25 of London's most prestigious businesses, the programme helps some 100 students develop their business skills.
"Developing talent is a priority for William Blair. The young professionals we work with through the programme with The Brokerage continue to make us proud and foster our culture of learning and development," said Matt Gooch, head of European investment banking.
2015/2016 Lord Mayor of London Jeffrey Mountevans presented the award to William Blair at an intern celebration event on September 22 in London.
This is the third year William Blair has participated in the program. In 2014, the firm received "Best New Employer," and in 2015, the London office was awarded "Project Champion of the Year."
