About Albert
Albert Lacher, vice president, is a wealth advisor with the Private Wealth Management group of William Blair & Company. He first joined William Blair’s international institutional sales in 1972 and assumed the position of manager of international institutional equity sales in 1988. Later appointed manager of global institutional equity sales in 1995, he was named head of equity trading in 1996 and continued in that role until his transition to Private Wealth Management. Albert was a member of the firm’s executive committee from 1993 to 2006.
Before joining William Blair, Albert held positions in the investment industry at such institutions as Continental Bank, Brown Shipley in London, and Swiss Volksbank in Zurich. Albert is a native of Switzerland and was educated at St. Joseph’s College in Fribourg and the Swiss Business School.
