About Tony

Anthony (Tony) Frascotti is head of private shares trading and re-joined William Blair in November 2022. Prior to this, Tony was a first-50 employee at SharesPost, where he started trading private company stock in 2018. He stayed with the company through its acquisition by Forge Global, where he was promoted to the head of capital markets, Boston. In this role, he oversaw many of Forge’s East Coast trading efforts while being a producing member of Forge’s institutional team. During his time at SharesPost and Forge, Tony completed hundreds of transactions in dozens of venture-backed companies, helping senior employees and management realize long-awaited gains in their equity and assisting institutional asset managers in building positions in these illiquid securities.

Tony has extensive experience in bringing liquidity and clarity to an inherently opaque market and specializes in helping hedge funds, family offices, and other institutional asset managers understand and navigate the complex secondary market. Before Forge, Tony worked in the institutional sales group at William Blair. He has a degree in political science from Boston College, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2015.

He holds the Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses and lives in Boston with his wife.
