About Bill

Bill Escamilla, partner and wealth advisor at William Blair, co-leads the E Team Wealth Solutions in the firm’s Private Wealth Management group. He is also a member of PWM's model portfolio committee, a group of senior wealth advisors that meets regularly to create and monitor PWM's model portfolio, which serves as a resource in building customized client portfolios. He works closely with the firm's Corporate & Executive Services and Wealth Planning Services teams to address the specialized needs of corporate executives and other high-net-worth individuals. He is a former member of the William Blair Select Advisory Council, which advised on the firm’s open-architecture investing.

Bill joined William Blair from Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown (DBAB), where he was a director, a member of the corporate executive services group, and a member of the investment committee, which was a group of advisors within DBAB responsible for choosing the Focus List from the firm’s research universe. Before joining DBAB in 1995, he was a senior vice president with Kemper Securities and Blunt Ellis & Loewi. He formerly served as a trustee of Shimer College. He grew up in San Francisco, has three grown children, is an avid tennis player, and collects Chinese blue and white porcelain.
