About Dave
Dave Port is a partner and wealth advisor with the 150 N. Wealth Advisors team. He joined William Blair in 1995. Dave’s primary role is managing customized equity portfolios for clients that include families and institutions. He draws on William Blair’s proprietary research as well as Wall Street resources to identify companies that have the ability to contribute meaningful growth to client portfolios. Dave’s commitment to his clients leads him to conduct due diligence on more than 200 companies per year. He also develops the team’s economic and tactical outlook.
Dave served for 13 years on the Private Wealth Management Model Portfolio Committee, a group of senior wealth advisors that meets regularly to create and monitor PWM's model portfolio, which serves as a resource in building customized client portfolios.
Dave graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in economics. He lives in Highland Park with his wife, two sons, and daughter.
