About Hunter
Hunter Purcell is a managing director and wealth advisor with William Blair’s Private Wealth Management group. He uses a consultative approach focused on thoroughly understanding a client’s existing circumstances, determining future needs, and managing risk. Working primarily with individuals and families, he seeks to identify and implement comprehensive investment strategies customized to his clients’ specific objectives using research to create asset allocation strategies that are transparent and tax-efficient. Before joining William Blair, Hunter was a portfolio manager with Brown Advisory Securities, LLC. He previously was an advisor in the private client group at Morgan Stanley in Seattle.
Hunter serves on the Maryland regional selection committee for the Jefferson Scholars Foundation at the University of Virginia. He is a former board member of Jobs Housing Recovery Baltimore.
He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia.
