About Joel
Joel Dobbs, partner, is a wealth advisor with William Blair’s Private Wealth Management group. He joined the firm from the Private Banking North America Business of Credit Suisse Securities. Before his work with Credit Suisse, he started his own retail sporting goods business, growing it into multiple locations within the Atlanta metro area.
Joel earned an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and his undergraduate degree from Georgia State University, where he was a student athlete. He lives in Canton, Georgia, with his wife and five children. His interests include coaching baseball, travel, and outdoor activities with his family.
