About Lauren
Lauren Kelly Kurz is a senior investment associate with the Cutler Group in William Blair’s Private Wealth Management group. She focuses on investment research, portfolio management and asset allocation for the team. She joined the firm from William Harris Investors, a Chicago-based single family office where she served in progressively more responsible roles as a senior investment professional and later as a portfolio manager. In these roles, Lauren focused on alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity, and private credit investments. In addition, Lauren served as voting member of the firm’s investment committee and advanced the buildout of the firm’s impact-oriented investment platform. Lauren had previously worked as a hedge fund data analyst with Morningstar, Inc.
Lauren has her B.S. in finance and economics from the University of Missouri and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
