About Matthew

Matthew Barrett is a wealth advisor associate with William Blair’s Private Wealth Management group. In this capacity, Matt works in tandem with Robert Hopkins, Darcy Carroll, and Hunter Purcell in assisting individuals and their families in determining their investment objectives, assessing risk, identifying suitable investment strategies, and evaluating their performance. He has extensive experience in asset allocation modeling as well as trading, stock option exercise plans, and restricted stock plans. Before joining the firm, Matt was a portfolio manager with Brown Advisory Securities, LLC.

Matt is an avid part of the community and has been a part of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and Barc's, and is currently involved with First Fruit Farms and WAAAG Animal Rescue. Matt studied at both Stony Brook, and received his B.S. in economics from Towson University.
