About Bill
Bill Kasten, partner of William Blair, is a wealth advisor on the Kasten, Jannotta & Jesanis team with William Blair’s Private Wealth Management group. He has more than 35 years of experience managing portfolios in the investment industry. Prior to joining William Blair, he was an executive vice president at Kemper Securities in Chicago, where he served as director of institutional equity sales and trading. Before his career at Kemper, Bill held positions with E.F. Hutton & Company in Chicago and Roy M. Huffington, Inc.
Bill received a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree from American University in Washington, D.C.
Bill is currently a board member of the William Guy Forbeck Cancer Research Foundation and Voyageur Outward Bound Schools. He and his wife, Ann, have two daughters and one son, and reside in Lake Forest, Illinois. Their interests include golf, skiing, and antiques.
