About Cissie

Cissie Citardi, partner, is general counsel of William Blair. She is responsible for overseeing legal and compliance matters across all areas of the firm’s business. She is a member of the firm’s executive committee and also serves on the board of trustees for the William Blair Funds and is a director of the William Blair SICAV. Before joining William Blair in 2020, Cissie served as the general counsel for PineBridge Investments, a private global asset manager with capabilities in multi-asset, fixed income, equities, and alternatives. She was also a member of the senior management committee. Before joining PineBridge, Cissie worked at Silver Point Capital, counseling investment teams providing customized debt and equity financing to middle-market companies. Earlier in her career, Cissie worked in private practice at Shearman & Sterling in New York City, where she represented investment banks and issuers in a variety of corporate finance transactions.

Cissie is originally from Australia and served as associate to the Honorable Justice Beaumont in the Federal Court of Australia. She has also practiced law at Herbert Smith Freehills in Sydney. She holds both a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Sydney, Australia.
