William Blair and its foundation provide financial support to hundreds of charities every year through its grants, sponsorships, and employee matching gifts program. We are also proud to support our signature Community Partners Program, through which we provide meaningful financial support and volunteerism.
In 2023, the firm and foundation contributed to over 1,100 charitable organizations. Our signature Global Community Partners Program aligns our offices with 23 partnerships supporting education, youth development, workforce development, food sustainability, and healthcare and human services. Each partnership is employee-led and creates positive impact in the communities where we live and work.
Our employees engaged in over 12,000 hours volunteering in 2023 through nonprofit board service, skills-based volunteerism through our Capital Collective, and 30 volunteer events supporting current and ongoing Global Community Partners. In addition to participating in William Blair-sponsored volunteer events, utilizing our Volunteer Paid Day Off program, and partaking in other personal volunteering, 36 employees joined some level of leadership on nonprofit boards in their communities last year.
