About Melissa
Melissa Piorkowski joined the firm in 2022. As lead ESG analyst she is responsible for managing reporting and leading data-driven strategies for the firm’s philanthropic, community engagement, and ESG stewardship initiatives.
Prior to joining William Blair, Melissa worked in various compliance and regulatory surveillance roles in the financial derivatives space. She went from auditing clearing firms to creating policies and procedures for a clearing firm to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
Melissa has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, spending time with family, and traveling with her husband.
