About Peter
Peter Schiltz, partner, is the global tax director for William Blair which manages more than $136 billion in client assets as of 9/30/21. Mr. Schiltz is responsible for the tax administration for over 100 entities including mutual funds, operating companies, and alternative investment vehicles.
He joined William Blair in 2003. Before then, he worked in public accounting for 10 years.
Mr. Schiltz received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Marquette University and a master’s in taxation from DePaul. He is an Illinois licensed CPA, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Regional Tax Director Committee, and the Investment Company Institute’s (ICI) Federal Tax Committee. He also participates in various industry working groups.
