This is Blake Pontius in Toronto, where I’m attending the annual PRI conference focused on sustainable investing. This is the finance industry’s preeminent sustainability event that brings together 2,000 institutional asset owners and asset managers to discuss sustainable finance and share best practices. There’s been a strong focus overall on how global regulatory frameworks are evolving to support the integration of ESG factors in investment decisions. Another takeaway from the conference has been increased engagement with companies on the opportunities and risks related to the development of AI capabilities, and their approach to addressing these through AI ethics and governance initiatives.
