Video Transcript

Entrepreneurship means empowering the individual, team, and organization. It comes from owning your role and your part of the process, and driving value for those around you. Here at William Blair Investment Management, we have the capacity to think creatively and dynamically, but we also hold each other accountable. I personally benefited from this, graduating from the associate role to the analyst role. I got a chance to learn from the other analysts on our team, but also sharpen my investment process. There’s really a vested interest in each other’s decisions on the team. When you put this all together—the accountability, the responsibility, and the creative thinking—it really fosters an environment where you can continuously improve the process but also generate unique investment ideas.
