When Brent Gledhill was elected as William Blair’s chief executive officer, replacing his predecessor John Ettelson, he took the reigns of the firm at an incredibly exciting time, and represented the final piece of a strategic transition in leadership. Gledhill joined Blair in 1997 as an investment banker and, in 2001, became head of the firm’s European and Asian banking group. In 2009, he was named global head of investment banking and became president of William Blair in July.
