William Blair research analyst Dylan Carden was quoted in the The Wall Street Journal’s coverage of the potential impact on the retail sector of any new tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.
“As it relates to the apparel space, the reality is that while we know what the threat and anticipation of tariffs does to share prices (which is not great), we do not have a clear picture of what it does to fundamentals and demand apart from economic theory (i.e., inflation),” Carden wrote in his note on the topic that was cited by the publication.
