For the second year in a row, Working Mother magazine named William Blair's Carlette McMullan to its 2019 Top Wealth Advisor Moms list.
Of the 400 women honored, McMullan ranked 16th. She is a William Blair partner and joined the firm 30 years ago.
"Business has changed so much since I started in 1989," McMullan says. "We're having fewer conversations about outperforming the indices, particularly after a 10-year-plus bull market, and more discussions about identifying goals, wants and wishes.
"That shift to a consultative financial planning model is particularly well suited to women who are more interested in making sure their money matches what they want to do with it-–whether it's taking care of older parents, preparing for retirement, or meeting their philanthropic goals," she adds.
The Working Mother list, released in early October, recognizes the top 400 mothers working in wealth management across the country today with at least one child living at home under the age of 18. Rankings are based on a variety of factors including industry experience, best practices, assets under management, and client service.
McMullan and her team serve high-net-worth individuals and families, organizations and foundations to achieve their investment goals, strengthen family legacies, and endow their clients' charitable activities.
In 2019, William Blair advisors also have been recognized on Barron's America's Top 100 Financial Advisors, Top 50 Private Wealth Advisory Teams, Top 100 Women Advisors, Top State Advisors; Forbes Top Wealth Advisors, Top Women Wealth Advisors, Best-In-State Advisors; and On Wall Street's Top 40 Advisors Under 40.
