William Blair, the premier global boutique with expertise in investment banking, investment management, and private wealth management, today announced the addition of Daniel Polsky as managing director and co-head of syndicate in the firm’s equity capital markets group. Based in the firm’s New York office and drawing on more than a decade of experience in roles in all aspects of the capital markets sector, Polsky will focus on delivering optimal equity offering execution and advice to market-leading companies and their shareholders. Polsky will co-head the syndicate group along with Walter Prest who is based in the firm’s Chicago office.

“I am excited to welcome Dan, a thought-leading equity capital markets banker with the expertise, investor relationships, integrity, and leadership skills necessary to ensure optimal results for clients, to William Blair’s rapidly growing investment banking team,” said Steve Maletzky, head of equity capital markets for William Blair. “Dan’s deep experience and exceptional tactical judgment will be extremely valuable to our clients as we seek to deliver industry-leading client service, differentiated advice, and outstanding outcomes. I look forward to working with both Dan and Walter as we expand our syndicate team and expertise.”

Polsky joins William Blair with a career spanning all phases of the transactional lifecycle, including the development of both buy-side and sell-side syndicate relationships, execution of lead-left bookrun IPOs, follow-on offerings, PIPEs, and equity-linked offerings for issuers of all market capitalizations, as well as the managed execution of post-deal stock stabilization. Polsky most recently served as managing director in equity capital markets at Bank of America. Before Bank of America, Polsky’s experience included roles at Lehman Brothers and on the syndicate desk at Barclays. Polsky’s capital markets capabilities have covered all major industry sectors, where he focused on providing long-term value to clients. Polsky received his B.A. in both finance and real estate from the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Business.
