William Blair's John Cultra and Tom Wilson were named to the 2019 America's Top 100 Financial Advisors list by Barron's magazine this week.
This was the fourth year Cultra has been recognized as a top advisor by Barron's and the second time Wilson was named to the Top 100. Each has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry and with William Blair, serving high-net-worth individuals and families, foundations and endowments on investing and financial planning.
The Cultra team was also named a Top 50 Private Wealth Advisory Team by Barron's in its first-ever team rankings.
The Top Advisors annual ranking is based on assets under management, revenue generated for the advisors' firms, and the quality of advisors' practices. Investment performance is not an explicit factor because clients have varied goals and risk tolerances.
"The rankings underscore the financial expertise and service John, Tom and their teams bring to their clients," said Ryan DeVore, William Blair's global head of private wealth management. "It's wonderful to see their consistency in making the Top 100 Financial Advisors list, a testament to the experience of William Blair wealth advisors and the firm's research, personalized investment strategies and financial planning resources."
Cultra and Wilson were among seven William Blair advisors selected by Barron's for its 2019 top state by state list released in March. Steve Elkins, Robert Fix, Dan Grant, and Louise Lane were included on the state list.
