This past week we attended William Blair’s 43rd Annual Growth Stock Conference (GSC) in Chicago. Over 2.5 days we hosted the CEOs and CFOs of around 230 companies across the size spectrum and across a large swath of economic sectors. The event has always proved to be a good window into the real economy, with most companies typically providing some kind of assessment of the macroeconomic landscape. Once again, the timing of this event was particularly opportune given what seems to be a highly uncertain economic future, ongoing high inflation, shifting monetary and fiscal policies, and variable financial market sentiment.
In this Economics Weekly, we provide a smattering of quotes and commentary (with added emphasis) from what we were able to glean from each of the presentations we attended.
