William Blair and colleagues with its San Francisco office supported several nonprofits during 2022 through the firm’s corporate giving and employee matching gift program. Among those have been Cal Nerds, a diverse group of college students studying science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) at the University of California Berkeley, and Refugee & Immigrant Transitions, an organization serving thousands of people from 50 countries who have sought refuge in the U.S.

“Engaging in the communities where we live and work is a core value of William Blair colleagues, and we are thrilled to support groups such as Cal Nerds and Refugee & Immigrant Transitions as they work to open up opportunities for our neighbors,” says Ben Curtis, a William Blair partner and west regional sales manager based in San Francisco.

The San Francisco Business Times has published the corporate philanthropists list for 23 years. The 2023 rankings were unveiled during an awards celebration held July 27 with over 500 attendees honoring non-profit and corporate philanthropy leaders within the Bay Area.
