The Boston Business Journal honored William Blair for its charitable contributions to Massachusetts-based charities at its 2022 Corporate Citizenship Awards event held Sept. 8 in Boston.
This is the third year in a row William Blair was recognized among the state’s top corporate philanthropists.
The event recognized 95 companies that contributed at least $100,000 in cash contributions to community organizations last year. This year’s honorees included companies from financial and professional services, health care, technology, retail, and professional sports.
“We are proud to celebrate these organizations who give both money and time to make Boston a stronger and better place for all,” said Boston Business Journal Market President and Publisher Carolyn Jones. “Collectively, they gave $322 million in cash contributions—a true example of the business community coming together to help those in need.”
Through its corporate giving and employee matching gift program, William Blair and colleagues with its Boston office supported several nonprofits in 2021, including its community partner Crossroads Massachusetts. Crossroads is a leader in Boston’s youth development sector, serving over 1,000 youth throughout the school year and summer.
“We are honored to support impactful organizations within the Boston area and their commitment to strengthen communities,” said C.J. Young, a managing director with William Blair’s Boston wealth management group. “The past few years have been especially challenging for at-risk communities and families and it has been meaningful for colleagues to engage and support others.”
