William Blair’s Women’s Alliance and Information Technology team hosted the 2019 Women in Technology (WiT) showcase at Chicago headquarters on August 1, featuring the work of eight college women who interned with William Blair this summer.
All are pursuing careers in information technology and shared what they accomplished using various tech disciplines such as digital office, Salesforce, power platform, security, cloud computing, infrastructure, and AI/data science. They presented their findings to employees at an afternoon reception on a host of topics:
- Charvi Bansal and Hasitha Rasineni, both in graduate school, analyzed investment banking’s M&A advisory sell-side transactions.
- Grace Chen evaluated server efficiencies for technology services.
- Srujana Daggubati researched risk parameters for investment management operations.
- Adriana DeLoach designed an app to improve workflows for the finance and private wealth management teams.
- Aylah Iqbal used Google analytics to create customized reports to enhance client services.
- Meghan Minturn simplified the reporting for investment banking’s Salesforce records.
- Ashley Wang analyzed capital flows to generate a data summary dashboard for private wealth management.
The WiT program, a partnership between the Women's Alliance and IT, was introduced in 2018 to bring awareness and focus to the vital role women play in technology initiatives impacting business outcomes.
As part of the WiT program goals, participating interns attended various informational sessions to explore the different disciplines of technology that best matched their interests.
